Help pls to ID this freight train - Readymade - 04-18-2015 Hi everyone, Might anyone be able to help me identify this train model? Or at least give some years of production pls? Pics below. The locomotive looks like a DD51, but I don't know if the logs and tank car originally came with it. I've included a pic of the Plakids in the sales lot in case they offer clues about the age/model of the train. (Sorry for the crappy pics, but they're taken from the sales listing.) RE: Help pls to ID this freight train - Super - 04-18-2015 We have had this discussion about this engine before but I can't find the thread to see if we ever figured out where it comes from. I think Sunhuntin first brought it up as it was included in a bulk purchase of his. Because of that discussion I bought one too. You are right, it is a DD51. It could be of a vintage year released as on the bottom it has the old Tomy logo with the boy and girl holding hands although I am not sure if it is old or not. It does take a C battery and was made in Thailand. We love ours with its black and yellow stripes front and back.
