Have you ever been really surprised one way or another with a purchase when you received it?
Today I received a large box from Japan with seven separate purchases I made. Six of the purchases was exactly what I expected but the last one was a big surprise.
What I thought I purchased was a small lot of about 10 pieces of various track items. There was only one thing that I was interested in and that was one ultra rare FlexiTrack in the color gray. To my surprise and delight there was actually 2 lengths of the gray Flexitrack and.......about 80 (or more) other various tracks, bridges and risers in the box. I was wondering why the shipping was a little higher than expected and now I know why. Considering I only won the auction for 300 Yen ($3 USD) I was very surprised. If the seller visits us here and is reading this, thank you very much!
How about you...had any surprises?
Of course the surprise can also be the other way... I had purchased several Sound & Steam sets from Japan that I thought were lite gray tracks only to find out that they were dark gray when they arrived. Blame it on the pictures as in all listings the tracks looked lite in color. Surprised in a disappointed way. And recently when I thought I was purchasing 3 of the new hamburger cars, which were pictured, only to find out only one was included of the 3. The translation of the description fooled me on that one. Thought I was going to be able to sell 2 and keep one. Again, surprised in a disappointed way.
