Faulty Hit RC Percy - TandH - 12-22-2024

Recently I got a Hit toys RC percy for cheap, but both engine and remote weren't working. I somehow got the remote working after accidentally leaving it on and the throttle in forward overnight (puffing sounds is an odd noise to wake up to at 7 in the morning but it's working now so I can't complain) percy himself isn't responding to the remote and I can only make the red light in the bunker flicker if I take out one of the batteries in the coach. All the wires are connected and I have taken the motor apart but that didn't change anything. I did look on here but I didn't find anything helpful. Does anyone know what the issue might be? Many thanks!

I’ve had that problem before and what got the motor working again was. 1. Opening the gear box and taking the motor out 2. spinning the gear on it with the remote on forward until the gear spins on it own. That should fix it .

Trying it at the moment, do you remember roughly how long you spun the gear for?

Currently trying it (using duck to spin the motor gear):

Sorry for taking so long to respond but I would say maybe 10 to 15 seconds to be for sure if not then more
