body shells i’ve made for Tomy Train chassis - DrMopp1966 - 09-24-2023

not sure if this is the right place to put this, but i’ve made some body shells to fit on Tomy Train chassis which i thought i should share :p

first up is this tanker, it’s a tanker all right

next is this toad brakevan, with a removable roof so you can sit your little dudes in there

now an engine (wowie) and it’s an 08 shunter, for all your 08 shunter needs

3 and 4 are close but 2 is waaaaay off the mark

There's already a Gordon in that range and his shell is longer than that second one, so I thought it looked too squashed to be an A3 or other LNER class (despite the double chimney and what looks to be a banjo dome).

Could the Single be a GWR 3031 (Dean/Achilles)? The protruding firebox and lack of sandboxes (?) near the splashers seem to indicate that. How did I get it wrong when it seemed the easiest and most obvious of all?

For the fourth one: good thing I didn't guess a Haydock Foundry well tank (Sonny) due to the smokebox shape alone. The tank, cab and bunker shapes remind me of an A1 Terrier, but the smokebox more closely resembles a D1's (a class I never knew existed until now).

the first one is a bit tricky so i’ll tell you, it’s lion / the titfield thunderbolt. i love the film so i thought it would be a fun challenge to give it a go!
(i’ve already made a thunderbolt shell for regular trackmaster if anyone’s interested, designed to fit on a whiff chassis https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:6098752)

I'd also love to make Toby, to sort of complete the season 1 gang, but I've no clue how I'd pull it off because of the sideplates
