Safe paint remover for Tomy/TrackMaster plastic? - ThomasSirHandel - 08-04-2023

For redoing customs or removing paint to restore old models, was wondering if Citristrip is a safe paint remover for Tomy/Trackmaster models as I know it's safe for most plastics?

Interesting question. Although I don't have the answer I do have a suggestion. If you have an old piece of rolling stock or old beat up engine shell you could sacrifice, try painting it with the same paint and testing the paint remover on it.
I just looked at their web site and I don't think it mentions for use on plastic. All I see is Wood, Metal and Masonry unless I am missing something.

Are you talking about oil / enamel paint, or acrylic paint, or the original factory paint?

Yeah just oil/enamel/acrylic paint and yes I'm currently testing it on an old piece of rolling stock.
