DisneySea Electric Railway - Super - 10-16-2014 I was not interested in purchasing the DisneySea Electric Railway set that is a Tokyo Disney exclusive because of the costs. However when I saw the train (?) only offered on the Yahoo Japan Auctions I took a chance with an opening bid and no one else wanted it. A little smaller than I thought it would be, has a flat drive that runs well and a funny thing. Nowhere on these units does it say Tomy anywhere. Just the Disney Logo and trademark on the bottom. Pretty sure that Tomy made it but even the box doesn't look to have a Tomy on it (see pic below). Disney is a powerful company and I am sure their demands are met for those companies making the souvenirs. This really isn't a train (as far as my opinion goes) more like Trolley cars (see pic of the real one below) ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() RE: DisneySea Electric Railway - Gerisplarail1 - 10-16-2014 the box does have the Japanese Plarail logo the Yellow rectangle with red writing in it. But it is odd that the Tomy Logo is no where in sight on the actual tram/trolley itself, It most likely has the Tomy logo on the back of the box. a very nice piece by the way I have always wanted that set but could not justify the price. At least you have the very neat looking Tram. So use to seeing the Tomy logo in English even on the Japanese boxes. It does also say "Made in China" on the trolleys too. Thanks for the info ![]() RE: DisneySea Electric Railway - Ucwepn - 10-16-2014 beautiful item you are very lucky! |
