Scheduled Thomas Trains - jessetrains - 08-08-2021

Being a Railfan, one of my favorite parts of the hobby has been learning the train symbols. I was wondering how many trains with a name, or schedule there are in the Thomas videos and movies, Like the Express and the Flying Kipper?

The main named/official trains are the Flying Kipper (Henry’s overnight fish train), the Wild Nor’ Wester (Gordon’s express), and the Post/Mail Train. There have also been others mentioned throughout the series, including the Limited (another express pulled by Bear in the RWS), the Local (a stopping Main Line train usually pulled by Thomas or Percy), the “Rubbish Train” (TVS only), and the Sudrian (another express featured on the Reverend Awdry’s layout).

This link should have the majority if not all of them

does the slow goods train count as one?

I think Slow Goods would just be a regular train and not a special named train as it's not something as high of importance as an express service or postal service.

I would agree with Ffar, I think “slow goods train” just refers to any stopping goods service, as opposed to a specific scheduled train.

Thanks for all the information! I did not know Gordon’s express had another name!
