I always thought salty was a class 14 diesel but I was wrong he's supposed to be a class 07 shunter

So not a bad likeness, it would be better if his cab was taller, but a lot of these models lack the height they should have,

Great info Tramp and a terrific picture as I didn't know that either, Thanks. Wish there was a front view to see if there is a grille or not. My guess is that Tomy could not make the cab taller as it would not make it under the risers.

A different train, but it's good to see the split grill, yeah it's probably for the risers, it's always a shame though, that's what put me off buying Luke, I'd like to own him but the cab is so out of proportion and squat ( to me) it spoils the whole look of the loco! - like Steven ucwepns taller funnel really makes it

Thanks for the great info Tramp. I actually had no idea when I made Salt Substitute that he was close to reality. Dumb luck I guess!

I see you removed the face and put mesh there to replicate a radiator grill. Nice.
Where did you get the mesh?
