Strange Plarail Coupling? - TheDiamondDalek - 07-03-2021 Recently I purchased a lot containing lots of plarail Thomas models, inside was a plarail thomas with an odd coupling, like the standard coupling except there was no slit at one end, both ends are circular loops with no slit in either, does anyone know what kind of coupling this is? Is it rare to have one like this? Any information would be greatly appreciated! RE: Strange Plarail Coupling? - leylandvictory2 - 07-03-2021 do you have photos of the strange coupling? RE: Strange Plarail Coupling? - MuddyPoppins - 07-03-2021 Is it hard plastic or rubber? RE: Strange Plarail Coupling? - TrainsRawesome - 07-03-2021 Just to be clear, it’s not the Made in Japan style coupling, right? There’s no slit whatsoever on either end? And yes, photos would be great RE: Strange Plarail Coupling? - DuckGWR - 07-03-2021 Sounds like a McDonald's coupling to me RE: Strange Plarail Coupling? - TheDiamondDalek - 07-03-2021 Yeah I'm pretty sure that it is a McDonald's coupling, taking a look at them both, here's a photo: RE: Strange Plarail Coupling? - MuddyPoppins - 07-03-2021 Yep that’s McDonald's! RE: Strange Plarail Coupling? - TheDiamondDalek - 07-03-2021 Ah, thank you, not sure what caused it to get onto this thomas but I think i'll keep it as an oddity RE: Strange Plarail Coupling? - leylandvictory2 - 07-04-2021 i say the former owner swapped it out of the Mcdonald couping to fix the thomas you had. I had a green express coach with yellow wheels. After discussing on here, I have concluded that the wheels came from other rolling stocks he/she owned. |
