Need a Trackmaster 'Arry chassis. - Culdee04 - 06-21-2021

Sorry if I'm posting this in the wrong chat. I'm using this for the first time haha.

A little while ago I found a Mattel Trackmaster 'Arry shell in the grass. I took it home with me because I don't own 'Arry (don't worry I cleaned it). Sadly I don't have a chassis for him. I've heard the TOMY chassis's don't fit them so it has to be a Mattel one.

If anyone could perhaps help me out I would really appreciate it!

I am not for sure but wouldn't any chassis from the Diesel line work? There are several iterations. Hopefully some of our experts will be along shortly to let us know.

Hmmm...my brain is telling me something about a Muddy Poppins video...can anyone help out my little brain?

@Culdee04, The mattel diesels have a little screw in the middle of the chassis which the tomy and HiT toys do not have. You have to unscrew it and then pop the shell off to access the battery. However, any class 08 shunter diesel that has a c battery should work (even tomy, I think)

From experience, anything but a TOMY Diesel line Chassis Works. Anything from Hit-Fisher Price's Class 08 lineup works on each other's chassis.

if you try jamming it onto a tomy one it'll get stuck and you'll have to shave some plastic.

The TOMY won't work due to the size I believe, trust me I found out the hard way haha.

I guess ones from HiT Toys onwards would have to do. Where to find one? Hmmm...

I never thought of craigslist! I'll have to check the US one since the Australian site doesn't have much...
