Trackmaster Diesel 10 Really Takes Charge - Powerful Gordon Mike - 02-11-2019 Hello everyone... take a look at my latest project, Trackmaster Diesel 10 Takes Charge Set with Moving Pinchy. https://youtu.be/q6z1JhS-KDc RE: Trackmaster Diesel 10 Really Takes Charge - Super - 02-11-2019 Very cool modification Mike, well done. Did you create the claw yourself and make from a mold? I do find a couple of odd things though... I don't think I have seen this version of Diesel 10 with the holes in his wheels. I notice things like that because I hate when Trackmaster started using those holes. Is there something wrong with his front ride wheel as it doesn't seem to touch the track. RE: Trackmaster Diesel 10 Really Takes Charge - Trainboy90 Productions - 02-11-2019 I think you should mass produce the claw for our Diesel 10 models RE: Trackmaster Diesel 10 Really Takes Charge - Powerful Gordon Mike - 02-11-2019 I did make the pinchy my self, they too valuable to harvest from a TNA D10. You are one sharp eyed observer Super. I put a AA battery in it instead of a C in hopes that it would go faster. RE: Trackmaster Diesel 10 Really Takes Charge - Super - 02-11-2019 Are you going to be selling the claws separate or add them to a regular Diesel 10 and then selling them? RE: Trackmaster Diesel 10 Really Takes Charge - sunhuntin - 02-11-2019 hi pgm, pinchy looks great! are the same size as the tna ones? can you please advise if you would sell the claw seperately and the dimensions? i have a friend wanting to make a custom HO scale D10 and is looking at buying a bandai simply to remove the claw. yours would be a better option, and likely cheaper as well, never mind it would save a rare bandai from being scrapped. RE: Trackmaster Diesel 10 Really Takes Charge - Powerful Gordon Mike - 02-11-2019 Sunhuntin, the claws are copies of the TNA D10, and very difficult to reproduce. It takes alot of time and materials to produce a single claw, for every one claw that looks decent, I throw three away, air bubbles, inconsistent color and so on. If I can find the right technique which allows me not to waste so much materials, I guess I could sell them. Thanks to every one who have responded to this post. PGM RE: Trackmaster Diesel 10 Really Takes Charge - sunhuntin - 02-11-2019 thanks, pgm. hopefully you get it worked out to where they dont cost so much per unit in wasted material. RE: Trackmaster Diesel 10 Really Takes Charge - ripley802 - 02-11-2019 I agree PGM, those look really good. Color and quality look to be close to factory. For air bubbles are you using a pressure pot for casting? I have tried by hand a time or two I. Resin casting and recently converted a pressure paint take from Harbor freight into a pressure casting pot. This definitely helped with the bubbles, but I need to work on the molds themselves a bit more. And unfortunately need more time to hone this craft. :-) |
