This is another fantastic Tutorial PG-Mike, thank you for sharing it with us. Brilliant idea of using just a strand of wire to replace a simple fuse albeit non-replaceable. Did you do any research into finding a normal type fuse to replace it with? I'll bet there are hundreds of TnA trains that made it to the landfill because of this simple wire burning out.

Sad, sad thought of all those TnA engines being junked.
I love the tutorial Mike. I once searched for this type of fuse but opted to just use a piece of wire and remove the fuse portion all together.

Thanks guys for the great comments... I would have really loved to have been a fly on the wall when the engineers at Tomy came up with the concept, R and D, and initial fabrication of these complex little locos.
