Small train camera?? - kmott - 01-11-2019 Hey Gang, I wanted to reach out to see if there were any suggestions for basically tiny video cameras that I could slap on a train and then run it through a track set up? I know SUPER posted some videos a while back but I was wondering what is the latest and greatest out there? I looked at the yellow Plarail on eBay but apparently it requires android (we live in an iOS household). If there is a camera that you have been curious about, nows the time to speak up. I just might buy one and post some videos! RE: Small train camera?? - Super - 01-11-2019 I will be interested in hearing if anyone else has some experience with any newer cameras RE: Small train camera?? - chrisjo - 01-11-2019 Google 'model railway cameras', loads of information to sort through. Here's the first one that came up, pricy though because it's mounted in a 3D printed OO/HO camera truck. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JdHUY5n-4yk This is a fairly recent article: https://modelrailwayengineer.com/making-model-railway-trackcam-video/ RE: Small train camera?? - ripley802 - 01-11-2019 I would steer clear of the yellow Plarail camera train that was released a year or so ago. Unless you know Japanese. I have that one and still have not ran it. You have to download and app in my case it was an iPad, so the app from from the Japan App Store. Then it needs connected toy WiFi, and of course the app and all controls are in Japanese. RE: Small train camera?? - leylandvictory2 - 01-11-2019 Hopefully you can find somebody who can translate Japanese for you RE: Small train camera?? - ripley802 - 01-11-2019 If I had the time and patience I can use the google translate app which you can use your phone camera to read sort of real time but it is very clunky. RE: Small train camera?? - Ucwepn - 01-11-2019 Something like this perhaps? I am also interested in this subject. RE: Small train camera?? - Super - 01-11-2019 Thats odd...if its the new and improved version it only supports Windows Me, XP and Vista. The rest looks good including a very inexpensive price. Looks like they have a new version...any more? With every newer version the box looks to be a bit bigger. Wonder how a ride on our trains would look with night vision in a totally darm room? Quelima SQ13 mini camera (full REVIEW) RE: Small train camera?? - Trainboy90 Productions - 01-11-2019 I have the app to the loco, I downloaded on google play RE: Small train camera?? - leylandvictory2 - 01-12-2019 what about spy camera? I wanted to use my car's dash cam but my wife will kill me if I rip it off our car. |
