Bachmann OO Gauge Raveningham Hall - Nigels - 04-03-2018 Here we go a lovely Hall class steam locomotive, depicted as Raveningham Hall in this lovely limited edition model. This one is so special it has a 9ct gold badge on the bottom of the loco model and comes in a foam padded polished wooden box Plenty of nice moulded rivets there for you to count too Super! Enjoy! RE: Bachmann OO Gauge Raveningham Hall - Super - 04-03-2018 Oh my! How beautiful is that? And what a wonderful box...almost makes you not want to take it out for a run.........almost. Loving those rivets Curious as to what the circled insignia is...looks like a couple bottles of milk. RE: Bachmann OO Gauge Raveningham Hall - Nigels - 04-03-2018 I know what you mean, to run or not to run is the question. I'm not sure about the logo to be honest, I'll get a real closeup for you so you can see, I suspect it is a couple of people or similar, but lets not speculate RE: Bachmann OO Gauge Raveningham Hall - Nigels - 04-03-2018 Ok, so here's a close up pic, as you can see it is actually a coat of arms of some sort, I guess there's a limit to how detailed even tampo printing can get as its not totally clear but there again the printing is only a couple of mm high so its not too bad But a bit of googling brings you to this all about the Great Western Railway and its COAT OF ARMS - shown on the right GW Wikipedia RE: Bachmann OO Gauge Raveningham Hall - Super - 04-03-2018 LOL...when I looked real hard at your picture Nigel...I was sure it was a candle on the left and a Teddy Bear on the right. RE: Bachmann OO Gauge Raveningham Hall - Nigels - 04-03-2018 I know what you mean, its amazing the detail your brain fills in when there's not enough info RE: Bachmann OO Gauge Raveningham Hall - Off The Rails - 04-05-2018 Oh man, what a beautiful locomotive! And remember, if there’s ever a question of whether to run it, ask yourself what James May would do! Wait, are you saying that Super is a rivet counter? RE: Bachmann OO Gauge Raveningham Hall - Nigels - 04-05-2018 As if, Super just happened to comment in another thread that he loved rivets and if there's one thing GWR loco's have in spades its rivets RE: Bachmann OO Gauge Raveningham Hall - Super - 04-05-2018 Rivets??? I thought he said Ribbits... RE: Bachmann OO Gauge Raveningham Hall - Nigels - 04-05-2018 Rivet counting is the sign of a true train enthusiast, thankfully its something I've not fallen foul of yet lol... |
