2005 Meiji Candy streetcar - MuddyPoppins - 03-29-2018 I found this last week and just loved it, so I put in a bid, and no one else wanted it, so I was very happy to wake up this morning it's winner!! It's a Plarail compatable 2005 Meiji pullback Candy streetcar very similar to the Thomas style candy train. RE: 2005 Meiji Candy streetcar - Super - 03-29-2018 I saw that listing and agree, I liked the look too. I was going to bid but talked myself out of it. I am anxious for you to get it and show us all about it. I wonder if it is modeled after this? RE: 2005 Meiji Candy streetcar - MuddyPoppins - 03-29-2018 Wow I think that might be it Super! Thanks Super I'm so glad that you passed on it I'm very happy I won it. I think it's just beautiful, and from the looks of it, it seems to be in excellent condition for a 13 year old toy. I will definitely have an unboxing and post more pics once it arrives. RE: 2005 Meiji Candy streetcar - Nigels - 03-29-2018 That looks very similar to a couple I picked up the other year (different colour scheme though), they were made by a company whose name eludes me for the minute - I'll post it when it comes back to me - but they were very nice too. Basically the same wheelbase as a Tomy so should work on blue track nicely. Nice find! RE: 2005 Meiji Candy streetcar - MuddyPoppins - 04-11-2018 RE: 2005 Meiji Candy streetcar - Super - 04-11-2018 It looks so cool. Did you figure out how to open it? I was surprised to see it is a Pull & Go, I guess I assumed it was a motorized Kansai but she does look great. RE: 2005 Meiji Candy streetcar - MuddyPoppins - 04-11-2018 No Super I don't get it! It doesn't open. I tried every possible angle and idea, so I looked at it with a magnifying glass on all its seams, and it's a solid mold, with no buttons, levers, or secret latches... So I am guessing maybe gum was just sold along with it? Maybe just 2 pieces lodged inside each ends entryways? Idk! Still is lovely though, but I do wish it was motorized too. RE: 2005 Meiji Candy streetcar - Super - 04-11-2018 It sure would be nice to know more about how it was released and where was it purchased at. Maybe a Meiji Candy Store. I wonder if they have an Online Shop where one could ask about this? RE: 2005 Meiji Candy streetcar - MuddyPoppins - 05-04-2018 We just scored another one of these!! RE: 2005 Meiji Candy streetcar - Super - 05-05-2018 Is this one new Muddy? |
