just got the engine but it looks a nice model, 2003 marked underneath.

it's a tomy plarail diesel ef501 i think,

I like the design of this train. in Australia they never had the tomica hypercity trains in any of the big toy stores like Kmart, Big W, Toys r Us etc but they did have it at at a minor toy store called toy world. I didn't get the chance to get any of the sets or trains but the trains are very well designed especially the ef6019
