yes, they are from the "see inside" trackmaster range. photos of the full range on this page: http://sunstomyandfriends.weebly.com/fisher-price-trackmaster-accessories-and-wagons.html

Interesting, they must be around HO/OO gauge people by the looks of things and knowing the size of the trackmaster rolling stock. Interesting they went that way and Tomy went or stuck with the PlaKids... Smile

yes, close to HO, but a bit chunkier. they have two legs moulded together instead of two seperate ones. they also dont come out, though some sets had removable pieces.

They are very nice sets and Sunhuntins web site has the full line of them which is a great research tool. They are very nicely detailed inside. I have had all of them at one time or another but sold them off as their hinges protrude somewhat on one side and catch the Tomy risers when running through them on occasion and either hold the train from moving or derailing it which, for me, became very frustrating so off to Ebay they went. This was probably due to them not being made for Tomy track and accessories and not a design flaw. I am sure they have no problem on the original Trackmaster tracks and accessories or just running on Tomy track without runny through the 3" risers.

I am not a fan of any see inside trains whether they be Trackmaster or Plarail as you really don't see anything when running the trains. Maybe a small light modification would make these look good running on the rails with the ability to See Inside.

You could always have modified the risers Super, I would have thought that this is a function that would be ideally suited to Lego, you could make the risers as high, wide or whatever you need. Come to that you could also build some custom tunnels, stations or god knows what Smile

I wonder if AC has started merging the hobbies yet?

Modifying dozens of risers just to hope that on a curve the hinge buckle won't lean into them when I can't even see inside when its running, I don't think they are worth it. In fact, I had entertained the thought of cutting off the hinges and Super Gluing the top down as the vehicle themselves look pretty good.

i can relate to that super, what a shame. glad that you pointed out this design fault.

I think it would be worth it to purchase some and try them out in your own layout as my results may be different than yours.
