ID needed, please - sunhuntin - 04-25-2017
looking into possibly buying this lot, and wondering if any of our members can shed some light on what im looking at. would like to make sure the number of new-to-me trains outweighs the number of duplicates. same trains in both photos.
im pretty sure most of the bullet trains i already have, but the nose couplers throw a spanner in the works. the black steamer also has a front hook.

Without seeing more pictures with different angles in the second picture can't tell for sure. But my guess is there are 4 or 5 the same, and 3 or 4 are the updated, newer versions in the 2nd photo from the first. Not sure without closer pictures on the steamer and what looks to be a Kansai street rail. Also can only guess on 2 of the 3 commuter trains are the same. These are oddly very similar listings as far as the trains go. If it were one Lot or the other I am liking the second picture better as the trains look like the newer versions and are cleaner, possibly no discoloration. Buuuuuut, with all the track that is sure going to up tick the shipping costs......But...'Might As Well'

its from the same city as my bulk lot, and that seller has agreed to pick it up if i win it. theres a ton of plarail down there, not really sure why. another auction im watching has 4 plarail advance and a plarail percy circus set.

The steamer, if the front hook is not a mod, would more than likely be from the rarer tandem Silver Swallow C12 set as I believe its the only front hook steamer made by Plarail. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lFTSbIbioh4
The bullet trains with the magnetic hooks are re-releases of their originals I believe. 2 different E3's - E2 - E4

do you [or anyone else] know what would go with the grey and red diesels? i tried googling, but didnt quite find matches. not even geris site had them, that i could find. similar but not the same.

That would be the tandem EH500's which is electric but I am not sure if the real one is Electric Hybrid (EH) or not. The original Plarail took C cell batteries and the re-release this past Feb with the AA chassis. The white removable tanker cargo car (shown in your second picture) goes with them.

thanks. so that one is complete then. the rest of the rolling stock must be oddball, which is fine with me, lol.
think i will make a play for it, and hopefully win, as i think there are only 4 i already have, possibly.

im going to say its the smaller one, as the rest of the rolling stock doesnt match the photo, and i would hate to have to track it down, lol.

It also looks like you almost have the full set for the brown EF15. There is both flatbeds for the containers but only 1 of each of the originals missing 1 green and white and one blue and white container. Its strange that in the second picture the flatbeds have what looks like yellow wheels (as the original set) but the first picture shows the same colored flatbeds with what looks like grey wheels??? This one is long out of print...
