Plarail Streamline Gordon - Light mod.. - ripley802 - 04-22-2017

I found a "Super" good deal on three Of the new Plarail shooting Star Streamline Gordon's recently that were only missing the coaches.

I wanted to add a light and maybe do something else to them but not over the top. Planning to have them up on eBay at some point as well.

Anyway, here is how the first one turned out. It is not as bright as I hoped but it makes it sort of more realistic using the Grain of Wheat bulb. A little of the silver came off but other than that I am pleased with it.

Any thoughts on another mod?

That looks fantastic Ripley. Fits perfectly like it was meant to be there. Would be nice to see a picture with his light on in a dimly lit room. Are you using a palm drill or electric?

The light is welcome, and I'd like to see it in action!
Perhaps you could rosy up his cheeks, like he was in the movie before his big bang? No other mods really spring to mind

Thanks Super. Yeah I am going to try and get a pic or maybe a short video of him tonight or tomorrow running so have for the listing.

I used a very small bit 1/32 (I believe) first. This actually slipped a bit whil I was drilling the first hole and caused the slight chipping of the silver. After the small hole was there I widened with a 3/32 bit. This was with an electric drill as I do not have a palm one although I think that would have been a bit more precision.

What if you painted one to look like the Commodore Vanderbilt?
