There are a few types available: A mail cars set, A passenger cars set and another that slips my memory at the moment. RE: Anyone seen this before ? - Chrisf1961 - 05-22-2014 Chris ...what you dont know about Trackmaster isnt worth knowing! i bow to you as a superior being! RE: Anyone seen this before ? - jdogman - 05-22-2014 The other two are Ice Cream Express cars and Livestock Cars. http://tttetrackmaster.wikia.com/wiki/Category:See-Inside_Cars RE: Anyone seen this before ? - HankAmericanEngine - 05-22-2014 Howdy Chris! Those are known as TrackMaster "See-Inside Cars"! There was a large variety of them, mainly repaints, of coaches, baggage cars, and livestock wagons as pictured; even those cream ice cream vans were turned into these sorts of "See-Inside" products. They were started strictly under Fisher-Price TrackMaster, and have seemed to fade out with the lack of popularity or circulation (05-22-2014, 09:52 PM)Chrisf1961 Wrote: http://www.sportsdirect.com/character-collectables-899071?colcode=89907190 RE: Anyone seen this before ? - Super - 05-22-2014 We have the passenger car and the mail car sets they are nice to look at but I don't think the kids take too much to the rolling stock that you can open up and view the inside or the ones that you can open and place the Plakids inside. Maybe that is more popular in Japan. I guess I can only speak for my own experience as my Grandson looked at them and that was about it. Plus they aren't good runners on a layout that has a lot of track running through the 3" risers as sometimes the "hinge" on the top one side will catch them while going through creating derailments and moving some of the risers. Wasn't worth the hassle or the price and they ended up in the box of stuff we don't use. RE: Anyone seen this before ? - HankAmericanEngine - 05-22-2014 That's probably one of the reasons they didn't sell well; high prices diverted attention, and even clearance prices had them waiting for months before being sold off. RE: Anyone seen this before ? - Toys_Trains-Things - 05-23-2014 There are several others like the see inside design. Old slow coach is similar in design and Emily's carriages are available as 'see inside' versions in Japan. RE: Anyone seen this before ? - Trackmaster-Rail-Yard - 05-23-2014 Hi there! If I'm not mistaken, these are a 2 pack of see inside cars that have hinges where you lift up the roof and the side to reveal special inside features! These are actually really cool and worth getting! Just be sure to treat them with care, they aren't the cheapest Plarail has not made anything like these , but they have coaches in similar shape making it easy to get confused with them . I personally mew ant the livestock cars and dining cars RE: Anyone seen this before ? - Aresedale productions - 09-04-2015 These are amazing I own see inside coaches I usually use them as express coaches and sometimes just random coaches |
