Plarail Generation 2 Talking Engines - ripley802 - 11-02-2016 So as mention in my recent thread, I manage to score all 5 TT-xx Plarail talking engines and the Talking Thomas which is only available in a set. These are very cool train, and I like them just as much as the 50 phrase talking engines. The design of these is very nice, and I was surprised of the condition the ones I receive, as they look and run like new. They are pretty speedy for being several years old and the talking/chatting (although I have no idea what it is saying.. ![]() I did have one issue with the Edward. The talking portion in the sodor rear car had a battery connector that was corroded. I did some repairs on him and he is back to working. These take the same style of battery connector/terminal as the TnA engines which I am STILL looking for.. ![]() Let me know if you have any questions on them and I will try to help out. I have the secured back in their boxes for now, but would like to run them with the 50 phrase engines at some point and have them all going at once. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() RE: Plarail Generation 2 Talking Engines - Super - 11-02-2016 I believe I have seen a match for that Henry Express Coach before, one that is normal without the buttons and sound system in it. The color of that coach is cool. Wish I could remember where or what train the coach came with. Then again maybe my grey cells are fooling with me again but......... I thought you meant the couplings from the engine to the motor car or tender to the sound car. Thomas and Percy have the same non-permanent couplings as the normal non-self-powered engines (Emily, Harvey, Murdoch, Mighty Mac, original Hank, Plarail Stephen, etc.), while the Talk-N-Action engines had the "fat" wire coupling type used on Steam Along Thomas and Rocky. Ah, no I am referring to the actual metal battery terminals that the batteries contact to power the sound car. They have a particular style found in a few different types or engines and even some of the road vehicles, but I cannot seem to find the sme style of replacements anywhere.
