My Little Pony Express or kind of.. - ripley802 - 06-02-2016

So I received another package today. It was NOT a train which was disappointing but at the same time it was a welcomed package as it was a "pre-school" graduation gift. What was it you ask. Well what better gift than a whole case of the new wave 15 blind bag ponies.. Not sure if anyone collects or buys these but it can be a real pain if you are trying to find them all in stores, sort of like the mini's I would guess.

Well what do you do with a case of 24 ponies? Make a my little pony express. I wanted to test the new D51's to see how they would do.

Train 1 - D51-200, and pulling 9 cars
Train 2 - D51-498, and pulling 12 cars

What I found was that the 498 was a beast compared to the 200. Now it could have been the battery, age, or just being used, but the 200 seemed slower and was having trouble a bit.

Just for giggles I tried the 498 pulling all 21 cars (the 3 Disney cars had 2x ponies), and much to my surprise it WORkED. It was a little slow and had a few hiccups, but made a few loops around.

Here are some pics.

I can't see the ponies very well. Could you shoot a few close ups please?

Thanks so much for the pictures! I made the "mistake" of showing them to my daughter, and she loved seeing some familiar faces but now she also wants a pink train that runs by itself....

We've done a couple mashups here, too. Nothing quite so advanced as you, but the ponies and minis do get along just fine.

(I call this one, "The Ponies marshal their forces")

Well, I didn't get any pics but this is a site we use to match the code with the pony in the event we need to get them in stores. Just found out there is already a wave 16 now.. Undecided. Cutting into the train budget now..lol

Wow, it even lists the mould types by character name! Even though the "Pegasus" mould should've been called "Rainbow Dash", because that's the most logical colour scheme for it. If there happen to be any Bronies here, I'd like to get an explanation as to who all these characters are (except for Twilight, Rainbow, Fluttershy, Rarity, Applejack and Pinkie [the Mane Six], Trixie and Lyra).
