A Really Interesting & Humorous Model Railway TV Documentary - Super - 04-17-2016 Came across this great TV Documentary about this guys efforts into building an Outdoor Railway in his backyard. It starts with the design and continues until a grand opening. I am not sure if this fellow, Mark Found, is a TV personality in the UK but he is a jolly chap who injects humor and is very entertaining. The entire TV series is on 15 Episodes on YouTube. Each episode is about 23 minutes long. He uses the very best in experienced builders and train aficionados. In each episode he travels around the UK and visits two or three of the very best in Outdoor/Garden Railways getting help while also showing all the different ways and ideas of how to do it. There were at least a dozen if not more. He even visited the Bekonscot Railway (mentioned here http://blueplastictracks.com/showthread.php?tid=1712 ) to get a little behind the scenes and to learn from their pro building maker/artist on how to make buildings and to have her make some for his layout. So if you are tired of the rubbish available on the Telly now-a-days then give this a peek. I was extremely entertained and learned quite a lot. Here is a link to the first episode with links to all 15 on the right side. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qcMe1QKuEyQ&list=PLYdqgmYJKJx3lLZEfkrCwuQmkljnX0T3s Attn: Nigels, maybe some of these outdoor railways are near you. RE: A Really Interesting & Humorous Model Railway TV Documentary - Nigels - 04-17-2016 Excellent Super, I'll have to look into this RE: A Really Interesting & Humorous Model Railway TV Documentary - ActionChugger - 04-17-2016 I am taking donations for a garden set RE: A Really Interesting & Humorous Model Railway TV Documentary - Tramp - 04-17-2016 Thanks super, I've only watched the first x2 episodes, but it look like a great series, what a good YouTube find! The last series that I watched on YouTube was the 'clickspring' series where a man is machining parts to make a clock, not humours or train related but really interesting to watch, watching the lathe work is like poetry in motion! http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLnwsvSo9zqItSCqL6psJE3wqu41ds5QTZ RE: A Really Interesting & Humorous Model Railway TV Documentary - gmeehanfilms - 04-18-2016 (04-17-2016, 10:06 PM)Tramp Wrote: Thanks super, I've only watched the first x2 episodes, but it look like a great series, what a good YouTube find!
