'G' Scale Thomas Loco's and Rolling Stock - Nigels - 03-30-2016 Have you guys seen these? Now I know they are expensive, but seriously 'G' scale is huge, intended for outdoors - wouldn't that be cool? Large scale Thomas, etc... running round your garden Have a look; Bachmann G Scale Thomas Loco's RE: 'G' Scale Thomas Loco's and Rolling Stock - Miksolo - 03-30-2016 I've seen these before. They aren't all that new, but thinking about it, G-scale is pretty huge. You could have some kinda Thomas-themed garden! According to a friend, a Bachmann G-scale Winston is in the works right now. RE: 'G' Scale Thomas Loco's and Rolling Stock - Super - 03-30-2016 They are cool and being so big they have to have much more detailing. I have seen several garden videos on YouTube with these Thomas and Friends and other G Scale trains. That Emily looks quite detailed, I love those wheels. Some of these garden railways are amazing. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FjiLFnB-Smg RE: 'G' Scale Thomas Loco's and Rolling Stock - DalaGStanator - 03-31-2016 I've definitely seen them, reviews, episodes and all. They're actually quite old by now. There's also a Toby, even though the site you linked to incorrectly stated he was a tram (a standard electric one), when he's a steam engine like all the others in the G Scale range. RE: 'G' Scale Thomas Loco's and Rolling Stock - Nigels - 03-31-2016 It's true they are 'old' except for one thing, if you notice the latest releases are now digital compatible - so with decoders fitted in them and an appropriate controller it means you can run multiple trains independently on the same piece of track rather than having to worry about having electrically isolated sections and just using a basic current transformer to move them Technically speaking Toby is actually a Tram so the site is right as such and I don't believe it makes a distinction between steam/electric, its just stating what he is... RE: 'G' Scale Thomas Loco's and Rolling Stock - Super - 03-31-2016 This is a "G" Scale coincidence, while browsing around a favorite YouTube Channel of mine ( https://www.youtube.com/user/jlwii2000/videos ) I learned about an amazing attraction that is near Cincinnati Ohio in the USA. They have an indoor G Scale layout that they bill as the biggest in the world. Supposedly square footage wise, even bigger than the Miniatur Wunderland HO Layout in Hamburg Germany http://www.miniatur-wunderland.com/ The place is called "Enter-Train-Ment Junction and looks like a great family fun place. I want to go, Check it out. http://www.entertrainmentjunction.com/ RE: 'G' Scale Thomas Loco's and Rolling Stock - Nigels - 03-31-2016 Nice one, another place in the USA i need to go to someday lol! RE: 'G' Scale Thomas Loco's and Rolling Stock - Super - 04-01-2016 You needn't travel over here, It looks like there are way more G Scale Garden Railroads in the UK at least if you go by all the YouTube Videos. RE: 'G' Scale Thomas Loco's and Rolling Stock - ActionChugger - 04-01-2016 They are awesome. My Mother in law wanted me to build one for Evan RE: 'G' Scale Thomas Loco's and Rolling Stock - Super - 04-01-2016 Come on AC...always do what your Mother in law says. Am I the only one that doesn't see a video? |
