Qs about My 1st Thomas / Golden Bear Daisy - chrisjo - 02-11-2016 Has anyone got one of these? If so, would you mind telling me her measurements? Length, width, and height, that is. I'm wondering if, with a bit of surgery, she could be motorised using a Tomy or TMR chassis? Anyone tried this already? RE: Qs about My 1st Thomas / Golden Bear Daisy - Super - 02-11-2016 I don't have one but she does look nice and what a great idea. Is the picture from an Online listing where you could ask the seller for the measurements? Is that plastic or stamped metal? RE: Qs about My 1st Thomas / Golden Bear Daisy - sunhuntin - 02-11-2016 a friend of mine got heaps of these for his nephew. i dont think he had this character specifically, but i believe it would be way too large for a tomy chassis. they are designed as toddler toys, so big and chunky for little hands. its a darn good idea though, a shame it wouldnt work. you may be able to get the chassis to fit, but she wouldnt make it under bridges etc. RE: Qs about My 1st Thomas / Golden Bear Daisy - Ucwepn - 02-11-2016 Hi it would be in scale with the large TOMY engines RE: Qs about My 1st Thomas / Golden Bear Daisy - sunhuntin - 02-11-2016 not the battery plarail size ones, right chris? RE: Qs about My 1st Thomas / Golden Bear Daisy - Ucwepn - 02-12-2016 The pre plarail ones with reverse switch RE: Qs about My 1st Thomas / Golden Bear Daisy - ilovehotshot - 02-12-2016 Thanks chrisjo for pointing out that I am missing one from my collection. Oh well, a hunting I will go. RE: Qs about My 1st Thomas / Golden Bear Daisy - sunhuntin - 02-12-2016 ah. gotcha, chris. didnt even think about those ones. RE: Qs about My 1st Thomas / Golden Bear Daisy - chrisjo - 02-12-2016 Thanks everyone that replied. That's another brilliant idea shot down! I would still like to know the actual dimensions though. I wonder if I could do a face transplant, or if that would be too big as well. (02-12-2016, 03:39 AM)ilovehotshot Wrote: Thanks chrisjo for pointing out that I am missing one from my collection. Oh well, a hunting I will go.If you have some of this series you can help me greatly by measuring the distance between the wheels on one axle on any of them. I assume they're all the same gauge, because they ran in tracks with a raised lip each side (like tomica/trackmaster road). From that I can estimate the rest. RE: Qs about My 1st Thomas / Golden Bear Daisy - ilovehotshot - 02-12-2016 I will measure them as soon as I get home from work. I thought I had all of them but NO Daisy. Bummer. |
