Busy Bee James - anc6802 - 01-25-2016 I have an old busy bee James thats in pretty good shape, but the wires are broken. I thought about customizing him. I see that he goes for good money on eBay and I've heard he is a rare train. I purchased it several years back for my nephew and he doesn't play with Thomas trains anymore so we recently got back basically all the trains and tracks we bought for him over the years which is really cool. Basically what is your opinions on it should I just restore him? I thought since he has a neat paint job he was going to be my next project train once Percy is done. RE: Busy Bee James - Nigels - 01-25-2016 Renovate all the way for any specials, replacing the wires is pretty easy RE: Busy Bee James - ripley802 - 01-25-2016 I agree. This one is a pretty special engine in my opinion. These seem to routinely sell for $50 or more on eBay. I listed one that was missing all stickers that I had received in a lot and also had broken wires. That is an easy fix, so go for it. The one I had sold for around $40. Or hang on to it, rarity will likely increase. RE: Busy Bee James - anc6802 - 01-25-2016 Thanks for the help, sounds like this James is getting a restoration and put away for safe keeping! Ill just use a standard James for the next project! |
