monorails - sunhuntin - 03-30-2014 won this just under an hour ago, my first monorail! ![]() the sellers photo ![]() it will come with a bulk of other tomy, including 30 other engines! i won the lot for $200NZD, and am expecting to pay around $50 in shipping. once it all arrives, i should be able to break down the cost and work out what the monorail actually cost, but im certain i got a bargain. RE: monorails - Super - 03-30-2014 Way to go Sunhuntin ![]() I am curious as to how smooth the hanging Monorail works. It also looks like a top running Monorail track can be installed on the top of those risers with the proper clips and a regular track on the floor through the risers for a 3 train system layout. Get any other goodies in the bulk buy. ![]() RE: monorails - sunhuntin - 03-30-2014 thanks, super! i think you are right that an upright rail could be attached. its just getting the clips. ive been told by one of the guys on facebook im missing a couple of girders, so im hoping they are in the boxes, and the seller just set up the basics to show me the track was complete. because the girders here can be stacked on top of the normal yellow ones, it allows for a lot of playability. imagine having 4 double width girders with track, then this on top? RE: monorails - Trackmaster-Rail-Yard - 05-22-2014 Whoa dude, didn't know plarail made those ![]() Call me crazy, but with those track stilts you could put a seperate track on top of them, you can run them on top with normal engines , and under the stilts as well! Run one on top, below, and the monorail! RE: monorails - Ucwepn - 05-22-2014 they are wildly expensive compared to normal plarail ![]() RE: monorails - Super - 05-22-2014 (05-22-2014, 01:55 AM)Trackmaster-Rail-Yard Wrote: Call me crazy, but with those track stilts you could put a seperate track on top of them, you can run them on top with normal engines , and under the stilts as well! Run one on top, below, and the monorail! I believe thats what they are made for Trackmaster-Rail-Yard. ActionChugger a member here had a great tower showing this. In fact here is a video of it...The monorail is in the tower on the right. RE: monorails - sunhuntin - 05-22-2014 heck, forgot to update this! LOL. just a quick one for now, from almost 2 months ago! LOL. there are no missing girders, instead it came with the D51 time station!! you can run a normal track on top, but with the time station, its a bit difficult. there are two 'arms" which slide onto the track and then clip into the station. the arms are not as high as the girders, so theres a large gap with no support for any normal track above. i used a spare flexi track to support the upper level and it worked ok. not the prettiest though! T-R-Y, i got it in a large bulk lot for $200NZD. after working it out, i maybe paid $60 or $70? RE: monorails - Chrisf1961 - 05-22-2014 Fandabidozi!!!! Ben wants the Disney Monorail set from the states ...! lol oh dear no wonder ive no money! RE: monorails - ActionChugger - 05-22-2014 I was able to buy two more monorail set! http://instagram.com/p/nQPYLwstwM/ http://instagram.com/p/nCQNeOMtwG/ http://instagram.com/p/nJnNWgstzC/ ![]() RE: monorails - Super - 05-22-2014 ActionChugger You and Evan must have a blast. I see in the last clip you answered a question I was going to ask..can you stack the monorail sets. Now, do you have plans on stacking your third one on top then inter-run about 7 layers of Tomy track with them for a super tower? ![]() |
