Curious for Info - Super - 12-04-2015 I have seen these too trains listed for a high price and assume they had a limited release (says in listing). But I am curious because the box says Tomy Corporation Newport Beach California. Was this a Limited release for the USA only? Pictures don't give a close up of the front of the trains so I am also curious to know if this is modeled after an American train. The listings both call these a "USA sales express 583 system" but I am not finding any info on it. Might this be an early attempt at a 583 Amtrak F-Unit? Pictures can be seen by Members: RE: Curious for Info - ROKMAN1445 - 12-05-2015 That is not an F unit at all. It is a 583 series Japanese commuter train. https://images.search.yahoo.com/yhs/search;_ylt=A0LEVkDfLmJWHgcAscQPxQt.?p=japanese+train+express+583&fr=yhs-avg-fh_lsonsw&fr2=piv-web&hspart=avg&hsimp=yhs-fh_lsonsw&type=ch.45.w7.dsp.04-01.us.zen._._ RE: Curious for Info - Super - 12-05-2015 Thanks Rokman I didn't think it was a real F-Unit but not being able to see the front and for the fact that it looked to be released by Tomy USA it piqued my curiosity. Add to that that there is a 583 Amtrak I had to ask. Would you happen to have some links for pictures of either of these Limited Tomy release's. RE: Curious for Info - ROKMAN1445 - 12-05-2015 No. I just added/ subtracted words when I searched for it. |
