club open day layout - sunhuntin - 11-06-2015 we opened our doors for a local daycare to come and have a look today. i ran buzz, snoopy, dunbar and a bullet train, with lady as backup. more photos here http://sunsthomasandfriends.weebly.com/nov-2015-playcentre-visit.html RE: club open day layout - Super - 11-06-2015 Its fantastic that your club does these things for the children. Great idea of mixing up the train characters so the kids might recognize them. I like how you have the Sopwith Camel riding high on the elevated rails. RE: club open day layout - ROKMAN1445 - 11-06-2015 Sweet setup Sun. Wish the guy called for my train show. Here's a link for my train show setups. http://www.blueplastictracks.com/showthread.php?tid=1335 RE: club open day layout - sunhuntin - 11-07-2015 cheers, guys. i think us members enjoy it as much as the kids do. so neat seeing their reactions. one kid was so excited he just stood there and screeched to a pitch only a dog should hear. super... that was the plan all along. i only had 2 days notice of this happening, so was literally grab a couple of box sets and go, no time to plan anything major. took a couple hours to set up, mainly making the viaduct fit with the girders etc. the table i use is kinda old and not 100% flat anymore, so two girders had to be raised using spare track hidden under the sheet, hah. the viaduct track was just low enough over the auto station point to catch the on off switches, and would cleverly turn off any engine that attempted to pass. |
