Talking Engine Couplings? - Nigels - 07-28-2015 Hi Guys, I don't know if anyone out there can help, but I just obtained in an auction a talking Percy, price was quite reasonable, but when it's arrived I found it has a broken coupling which wasn't mentioned. It could have happened in transit I suppose, but I've naturally gone back to the seller anyway as it wasn't mentioned in the listing. But frankly I'd rather fix it than return it as I'm sure I'd be unlikely to get another in generally good condition for the price I paid. Anyway as you probably know the coupling isn't the standard type otherwise it would be no issue. But I don't have any spare ones of this type, does anyone know where I could get one or happen to have one in a spares box I could purchase off you? However I'll also check out that seller Sun, it would be handy to have some spares anyway for all sorts of reasons. I had already considered cannibalism, but unfortunately all the trains I have with the appropriate couplings are currently working or repaired by me lol! We have a Gordon that came to us with a broken coupling. This coupling was glued about 3-4 years ago. It's been played with with no concern of being nice to the coupling. This epoxy works! Not just any epoxy, this stuff! Mine had snapped exactly where yours had, I guess from the weight of the very heavy trailing car.
