newbie looking for parts - biGdada - 05-09-2015 Hi. i need to replace the on/off switch on Spencer. The original one is broken. Is it possible to get a replacement? RE: newbie looking for parts - ROCKINATOR - 05-09-2015 Trackmaster 1,2 or Tomy? Post a picture of the broken part, or if that's too hard, at least tell us exactly what all the writing on Spencer's bottom says! I'm not sure I want to disassemble it just to take picture of the part, but i'll do it if there is no other way. the writings on the bottom say spencer 0384wc r9221 it has one AA battery and the on/of lever also behaves like clutch. in OFF position, the wheels spin freely, i think it moves a gear or something. hope it is enough info to determine what kind of spencer it is. btw, where could i read more about this trackmaster/tomy/playrail stuff and the differences between the versions? i know there ARE differences because my son has two different thomases thanks guys. RE: newbie looking for parts - ROCKINATOR - 05-11-2015 Just go through the index and one of the main forums is called Blue Plastic Tracks, and has all Trackmaster and tomy/plarail related things. Hope this helps. R9221 denotes it as the standard Fisher Price Spencer before they changed to the shiny silver one . RE: newbie looking for parts - biGdada - 05-13-2015 now that we know what kind of spencer it is, any idea where to get the part? RE: newbie looking for parts - Ucwepn - 05-13-2015 Many locomotives have the same type of drive unit (flat type) so you could simply switch the whole unit over if you have a spare loco. Also your location would help too so we can see if your local ebay has any etc. RE: newbie looking for parts - biGdada - 05-30-2015 I couldn't find the damn part so i just ghetto-fixed it. I heated a needle, stuck it into the broken part, and stuck the other side into a piece of plastic (i think it was a lollipop handle or something). Then i cut the handle. Check it out and a video: <iframe src="https://vid.me/e/nxwk" width="180" height="320" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen webkitallowfullscreen mozallowfullscreen scrolling="no"></iframe> RE: newbie looking for parts - Super - 05-30-2015 Very imaginative Bigdada.
