RE: Trackmaster Revolution (TMR) New releases - MuddyPoppins - 02-25-2021 Those talking engines are interactive, so maybe those are buttons are to make A&C talk too?? Funny though FP is already a year behind in releasing the previous batch that has yet to hit any shelves, so I guess these will start trickling out by 2023. RE: Trackmaster Revolution (TMR) New releases - Tons of Trackmasters - 02-25-2021 hmm, I would say I like them (cough express coach cough) but frankly it looks off. Just a re-skin of Annie, TOMY did it way better....the van with James looks promising though ![]() out of them all I will wait until the van comes up on eBay and then buy it Diesel looks super long and has red stripes (season 2 episode?) Thomas is covered in mud for whatever reason. and lastly the red buttons look VERY jarring to me. Sorry Mattel but this just doesn't cut it RE: Trackmaster Revolution (TMR) New releases - Mister No - 02-26-2021 Many things are looking a bit weird on these trains... Red sound buttons are way too large. Actually, they should be "hidden" as much as they can be, and not red, and not that big! Almost all the cabin roof is a big showy red button? I'm sure that the red things on Annie & Clarabel have some function, but they are also... not nice. And why such an extra large number on Gordon's and James's tenders? Btw James's van is advertised as "full of pigs". RE: Trackmaster Revolution (TMR) New releases - Tons of Trackmasters - 02-26-2021 pigs... the first time we get a DECENT tanker and it's full of PIGS? Hopefully they are removable... I do agree about the buttons though...just too jarring. Take a look at the chuggington interactive engines and tell me how noticeable it is ![]() RE: Trackmaster Revolution (TMR) New releases - Tons of Trackmasters - 02-26-2021 and nobody's talking about how LONG diesel is? ![]() RE: Trackmaster Revolution (TMR) New releases - GreatGordonFan - 02-26-2021 Actually I wonder what's up with his red stripes. RE: Trackmaster Revolution (TMR) New releases - Super - 02-26-2021 Now that you mention it and looking closer, Diesel does look to have a longer nose. Maybe they needed more space for the electronics??? I can understand the large red buttons (not that I like them), if their demographics is aimed at toddlers as they are more into touching to play. Nothing has surprised me with any of the Trackmaster II's and there has only been a couple things that has impressed me since they first arrived on the scene. Take a look at the Chuggington interactive engines and tell me how noticeable it is https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zLKtdsclgaw Except on the interactive Chuggers, they're not activation buttons but are (most likely) for sending/receiving signals from other Chuggers/destinations. As shown in the video, the real buttons are the horns. It seems they double as buttons in Thomas Motorized. When Golden Bear first made talking engines for My First Thomas, they were interactive as well (albeit only for a very short range and only when facing each other). Their transmitter/receiver was hidden behind one buffer/headlight (Bertie)/float (Harold) on each one instead of somewhere on top. Perhaps if Mattel were to use Bluetooth or similar tech, it might've been possible to avoid those IR (?) elements. RE: Trackmaster Revolution (TMR) New releases - Tons of Trackmasters - 02-26-2021 I wholeheartedly agree, I mean look at Annie and clarabel! RE: Trackmaster Revolution (TMR) New releases - Mister No - 02-26-2021 Any thoughts on the look of the new 2-in-1 Transforming "Red Line" Set [with no red engine (James?), no motorized engines at all, just tiny Push Along Percy with oversized truck] when all the tracks are stored in an XL Annieclarabel coach and much smaller Thomas? ![]() I think it's rather ugly, and when you fold Annieclarabel monster coach, their names are upside down on the layout assembled: ![]() |
