RE: How Many Motorized Road Vehicles Are There? - Super - 01-18-2020 Theres a 75th Anniversary Tomy Book? I have got to check that out. Might you have a Link or picture? RE: How Many Motorized Road Vehicles Are There? - chrisjo - 01-18-2020 There's a Tomica book by the same people that produced the 60th anniversary Plarail book. ISBN-13: 978-4591145821. Published 2015 so maybe there's a new one due later this year, but this one will presumably have all the coverage of Motor Tomica that there's ever going to be. There are other Tomica books on Amazon Japan, including one with these pages: So 2020 is the 50th anniversary of Tomica. TakaraTOMY was formed in 2006 from Tomy (founded in 1924 as Tomiyama (so 100th anniversary not far away!), changing its name to Tomy in 1963 (so 2020 is 57th), and Takara (founded in 1955 (so 2020 is 65th)). Thanks Dr Chris Really? That would be good news for me but I would have to assume that some of the Motor Tomica, B/O Tomicas would have appeared in the existing books. It will be interesting to see if they will come out with a 50th Anniversary Book this year and very interesting if they include any motorized versions. By "this one", I meant the existing book, not the theoretical new one. Sorry! RE: How Many Motorized Road Vehicles Are There? - Super - 01-18-2020 No need to apologize. I wonder if anyone around here might have that book or know someone that does to give us a clue if any Motorized vehicles are in the book? In the pictures of pages in the book I can't see any motorized vehicles and for around $40 shipped its not worth the chance if they aren't in there. Anyone have it? I also wonder if there really is a comprehensive list anywhere of these vehicles. I am skeptical because they were released under different names and sets. For instance..many of them were those that were only included in Plarail sets, there are those released under the Tomy name, there are those released under a combo of Tomy/Tomica, there are those marked, Tomy, marked B/O Tomica, marked Motor Tomica, some were site specific. If anyone out there would just compile a total list in book form with pictures and history I would be the first in line to give them my money. RE: How Many Motorized Road Vehicles Are There? - leylandvictory2 - 06-23-2020 Add Honda Element. The one on the far right. RE: How Many Motorized Road Vehicles Are There? - Super - 06-24-2020 Could you take a picture of just that Honda and one for that yellow middle one Leyland? Also give me the information from the bottom of the chassis. RE: How Many Motorized Road Vehicles Are There? - leylandvictory2 - 06-24-2020 Unfortunately, that is not my photo. Robert Gray took that photo. I believe he is a member on this board. RE: How Many Motorized Road Vehicles Are There? - Super - 06-24-2020 Thanks Leyland. Wish we had more information on these. RE: How Many Motorized Road Vehicles Are There? - leylandvictory2 - 07-21-2020 i found 2 more vehicles but I don't have any info on either of them. |
