So it looks like all the Action Town items will use the one identical grey actuating rail piece. Lets hope they've put some work into fitting it with gears that don't split. RE: Plarail New Releases 2025 onwards (non-Thomas) - Super - 03-05-2025 I am curios as to what should be connected to the vehicle Roundabout? Anyone know or have an idea or is this not for the Motorized Vehicle Series? That's what it says here: ![]() RE: Plarail New Releases 2025 onwards (non-Thomas) - Super - 03-06-2025 Thanks to both of you. To my eye The tracks/road pieces in member TomyNewbie and the ones shown in member Chrisjo's image look different. In the first Tomica Town rendition it looks like a single wide road with connection spots close together and with no expansion slots whereas in the above showing of the Roundabout seems to show the connection points further apart like a double wide road and the connection points have expansion slots. Is it just me? RE: Plarail New Releases 2025 onwards (non-Thomas) - chrisjo - 03-06-2025 (03-06-2025, 04:07 PM)Super Wrote: Thanks to both of you. Correct, but we need a Tomica expert to tell us about the different versions of Tomica roads that have come and gone over the years, preferably in a new thread. TomyNewbie's pictures show the Tomica System Town Road Set released July 2016 and later re-released in 2018 as part of the Tomica World line, (not to be confused with earlier Tomica Worlds!). RE: Plarail New Releases 2025 onwards (non-Thomas) - chrisjo - 03-07-2025 The first Plarail Expo of 2025 will be in Tokyo from 25th April to 6th June. This years Event Commemorative Product will be a re-issue of the C-56 160 Steam Loco Kita-Biwako that was S-38 between 2008 and 2021. For the Admission Souvenir there will be a choice, Blue Distance Middle Car (2 cars), or Blue Distance Tomica Cargo Car (Tomica not included, of course), to go with this year's Blue Distance Best Selection Set. RE: Plarail New Releases 2025 onwards (non-Thomas) - Super - 03-07-2025 Thanks for the heads up when this years Plarail Expo Tokyo will be held Dr Chris I do appreciate you always sharing. I always look forward to catching YouTube videos of visits to the show when its held. I absolutely love those Blue Coaches that come with the C-56-160, its my favorite. I see that the new 'Best Selection Set' Blue Distance train uses the 'ES' downsized (small) Coaches and the giveaways that fit with it too. Would much rather have regular sized ones and fewer in the set. I also see that those stubby coaches that come in the set and the giveaways can be opened and have a place where a PlaKid can sit but... I don't see that any are included with the set. There is something new in in that set though...two Simulated High Rise Office Buildings that can also be doubled as a full track Riser. I like when they do something different but personally I won't need these. Can imagine faster train might topple the whole thing down.
