RE: First new Trackmaster locos for 2015 - sunhuntin - 12-31-2014 that would suck beyond measure. tis refreshing to go on jauce and see thomas as know him, and not this latest monstrosity RE: First new Trackmaster locos for 2015 - ROCKINATOR - 12-31-2014 mattel needs to stop thinking about how more money they can be made and start seeing what they have done. Once their eyes are opened to the amount of damage they are doing to their own name they may realize how much trouble they are causing everyone who has TM classic and Tomy/plarail. RE: First new Trackmaster locos for 2015 - plarailfan - 12-31-2014 Incredibly, the new Mattel / Trackmaster, does seem to have a loyal band of followers already. You only have to look at some reviews on Amazon, or see what people have said on youtube. Maybe they are mostly Fisher Price employees that have said kind things ? who knows ? I think it's unfair that new Plarail products have not been available for many years in the UK / US / Australia, etc. Even in this day and age of competition law and fair trade, it seems as though some things still have to be imported by private individuals on a personal basis, because shops are not allowed (thinking of Toys r us, etc) We are lucky to have internet and online facilities to buy our models these days, making many, overseas purchases, almost as straightforward as buying locally. Just wish I could afford to buy a bit more from Jauce RE: First new Trackmaster locos for 2015 - Ucwepn - 01-02-2015 Hi Saffy Yes there is a very loyal following of the trackmaster revolution and the previos trackmaster range. I feel it is mainly the U.S. kids who are fiercely patriotic and loyal to Mattel and Fisher price and seemingly to them the company can do no wrong. I have seen allot of this blatant bias from fans in the comments of my videos especially in the trackmaster vs Plarail videos. Allot seem to favor the trackmaster because that's what they sell locally and it feels familiar to them and that it's their team? I don't know haha. I'll leave this piece of rudimentary novice psychology here. They see TOMY as the enemy perhaps because it made a better product? or because it seemed out of reach to most? Or it's because it's the version they own and they are justifying their purchase decision? Who knows RE: First new Trackmaster locos for 2015 - ROCKINATOR - 01-02-2015 Only if we could get plarail in the shops today... RE: First new TrackMaster locos for 2015 - jdogman - 01-02-2015 You know that there are people in Japan that say that about TrackMaster and import it like you guys do with Plarail. RE: First new Trackmaster locos for 2015 - nstrainmaster - 01-02-2015 I had Tomy as a little boy, I still remember my set and how well made it was. This new Trackmaster stuff is crap. It hurts because some people won't know the joys of a well made blue track set. I still have my TOMY Tracks from my old Ffarquar set and I can still use them today with my Plarail Advance. Trackmaster is going ever downhill, it hurts as a railfan seeing that cog-wheel and just knowing that they are doing it for money. As for me, I'm going to denounce Trackmaster all my days and stay with Tomy Takara until the day I die. Give me blue track or give me death! RE: First new Trackmaster locos for 2015 - Super - 01-02-2015 RE: First new Trackmaster locos for 2015 - ROCKINATOR - 01-03-2015 Blue track all the way!!!! RE: First new Trackmaster locos for 2015 - TrainMan2001 - 01-03-2015 Hi everybody. I bet I am going to get some hate for this but the original TrackMaster and TOMY trains aren't perfect like some of you seem to think. I actually have had quite a few of the problems they listed a few posts back.the track wouldn't stay in their place a lot and would derail my engines. They couldn't pull very much either. Someone shouldn't expect too much from a $30.00 toy. |
