I had no idea Tomy made a Flynn model! Reminds me of how they did Bertie, with the fake wheels and having it run on a normal train chassis. Very different to how the TrackMaster Flynn was done. Big Grin

I was schooled and learned much from the members here at BPT's several years ago as I thought that both the Trackmaster and Plarail Flynns were bad because of the faux wheels. If you look at THIS thread from 4 years ago it shows where I was set straight on what Flynn actually is. I know now that the faux wheels are actually a must and more life like. I have seen many of these dual maintenance vehicles that have a dual use where crews can drive the roads and right onto the rails.

I didn't know this until a few months ago, but my country also began using four "real life Flynns" that year due to increased use of large railway tunnels and the dangers that come with it. Exactly like Mister No showed on the same thread. Here's an item about them, though you might have to translate it.
