I got stung like this but not as bad though. That's why I have warned about it in the past. It is so easy to buy up big on Yahoo then get a shock that international shipping will more than double the total cost.

On Japamart you can split the shipping or group it together. If you leave it seperate the cost is often better because of lower weight and volume of package/s. It also means the items might meet the criteria/weight limits for lower price shipping methods like SAL or small parcel.

Anyway, sorry to hear you got stung like this but nice purchases though. Smile

When I order a big lot from ebay, the sellers always use a courier service. Does a courier offer a better shipping rate for big parcels than your local mail service (i.e. Royal Mail, United States Postal Service, EMS, Canada Post, etc).

Leyland, those aren't available when you buy from the Japan Yahoo Auctions through an agent.

ActionChugger, those boxes are even bigger than I thought. Evan has new things to play with...the boxes! LOL

That is an Airport station set pretty old and hard to come by in new condition!

RE: First Jauce.com Purchases - sunhuntin - 09-06-2014

the cars that open are sleeper cars. it should have a powered and a dummy DD51 on the front, and plakids. looks like you have them next to the black steamer in the last pic. love this set, the detail is great.
photos of mine are on this page, just scroll down. http://sunsthomasandfriends.weebly.com/takara-engines-trucks-and-pla-kids.html

Thanks for the help!
