Yes $650-$850 is correct, but having the only one for sale on eBay makes yours the newest litmus test.
Stay firm unless you really need to sell them quick, or find someone deserving of a good deal that will really cherish it.
It’s a weird time in collecting.
A large majority of the kids who played with these toys back in 2006 are now 18-30 years old.
The younger ones are selling off their childhood toys, while the older ones are broke but about 10 years away from having the established lifestyles and money to really start buying them all back.
It seems like we are currently in the in between stage though, with less rarities coming up, but also less buyers.
There are still a few hard core collectors out there but the TrackMaster genre has also been been dead for over 10 years now, granted it should have never have been killed and that’s why people still love it and collect it, but what Alfies absolute ceiling is and when or if the well is running full or dry is speculation for your own contemplation.

Thanks Muddy. I have had quite a bit of interest on Ebay but not one has made a reasonable offer on it. Last one wanted it for $200 Canadian, which I promptly told him that it wasn't even close to a reasonable offer.

And out of the samples I've acquired, 6 were produced on April 6th, 7 on May 16th and 4 on June 4th.
By my reckoning:
098S8 = 7th of April 2008
136S8 = 15th of May 2008
167S8 = 15th of June 2008

I know it's been a bit but was just contacted via my F.B. Alfie sale post by someone claiming that the production numbers were fabricated. Any truth to it? They claimed that this page is making false allegstions

First of all it is Tharazero’s theory based upon the serial numbers on the bottom reported to him by various owners.
Secondly, no real information exists because it is not shared by the manufacturer to the public, so everything is speculation.
Thirdly, how can it be disputed by someone with less information than Tharazero?
AND 4th I will guess that it is Analfieaddict causing this stir, and if so, disregard anything he has to say and block him.

I just like getting things solved and not beat around the bush at all. So far thus person has yet to provide any actual proof to s9meone admittingvto making up the stuff, just their word.
