I might need to get her a whole new drive unit. Sorry about that. I forgot about the need for a soldering iron. My apologies. I believe it is the same drive used in Rusty, Emily, Murdoch and a few other I can't remember off the top of my head. The 8 teeth cog is only found on this style of motor. Maybe you have a spare one you could change out and see if it works. RE: Showing off my collection! - Tharazero1 - 08-26-2020 Molly uses a flat type drive unit which was included in murdoch, emily, as well as engines like oliver, donald and douglas, spencer, bill and ben, rheneas, maybe skarloey, sir handle, peter sam or rusty and maybe most of the later fisher price engines (don't quote me on that because i don't own the latter engines) so it shouldn't be hard to find a replacement motor or cog RE: Showing off my collection! - leylandvictory2 - 08-26-2020 if i remember correctly, Molly's tender is where the motor located. If that is the case, it will be easy to replace the entire battery terminal. RE: Showing off my collection! - DuckGWR - 08-26-2020 I have a bunch of stuff to send WF72 later this week, I'll throw in a flat drive unit. It isn't the right casing, you'll have to swap whatever guts need replacing over, but it's got the upper plastic piece with the contacts and motor attached. RE: Showing off my collection! - Super - 08-26-2020 That is very nice of you Duck RE: Showing off my collection! - WF72 - 09-09-2020 I got the aforementioned package from DuckGWR, and I am ABSOLUTELY over the moon! I love him. I'm so happy with each and every item. Thank you so much!!!!!! Oliver's the crown jewel but I love each and every item!! Get ready for pictures overload!! Also: He included a scrap motor to help repair Molly, and now she works a treat!! Also a new coupling for Mighty Mac, some extra Axle Gears, and big engine side rods. I'm so happy!! Thank you Duck!! RE: Showing off my collection! - DalaGStanator - 09-09-2020 Oh, wow. He did make some good item choices, especially the TOMY versions of Belle, Hiro and Luke. Speaking of those three, you might want to restore the detail on them so they look as good as the others (Belle's face in particular). Where are Donald and Douglas' tenders? Hopefully you could get them at some point if you don't have them from previous copies. Otherwise, their chassis might make good bases for non permanent provisional engines. DuckGWR, you really were generous for giving up on all that Sudrian goodness to help her out like this. Thank you for putting a smile on her face and making me happy to see how excited she was. RE: Showing off my collection! - WF72 - 09-09-2020 Bill, Ben, Donald, Douglas, and Belle all need new stickers, is there a good place to purchase new stickers? Luke and Hiro need new lining, and that'll be very difficult. Also I don't have Donald or Douglas' tenders, sadly. Ikr? He's SUCH a cool guy and I'm so happy! I can't express it enough. RE: Showing off my collection! - Tharazero1 - 09-09-2020 Such an amazing pick up of trains. Those look really good I think Custom Trackmasters on Youtube sells his own stickers that he uses to restore his trains RE: Showing off my collection! - Super - 09-09-2020 Yes, check out this BPT Link for his reproduction stickers. He may already have what you need. https://blueplastictracks.com/showthread.php?tid=4043 |
