RE: Engineer Bob's Videos - Super - 12-29-2019 So how did the Layout turn out Bob and was it a hit? RE: Engineer Bob's Videos - Engineer Bob - 12-29-2019 Hi! Sorry, the season got busier than I expected. Yes the layout came out nice. I'll try to get some video this week. Thanks for thinking of me! Also, managed to get a Tomy "Cranky at the Docks" brand-new as a Christmas present. Well okay, I bought it and wrapped it for my wife to give to me, but still awesome! RE: Engineer Bob's Videos - Finno - 12-30-2019 I'm keen to see a video of the layout too. The photo's looked excellent. RE: Engineer Bob's Videos - Super - 12-30-2019 A brand new "Cranky at the Docks" for Xmas....what a great gift RE: Engineer Bob's Videos - Engineer Bob - 03-13-2020 Wow, I'm really sorry I haven't gotten any new videos posted yet. Hoping to have Ed's next episode done this weekend. Here's at least a teaser photo anyway... RE: Engineer Bob's Videos - leylandvictory2 - 03-14-2020 you should add Bulstrode and other boat characters from Thomas into your scenery RE: Engineer Bob's Videos - Engineer Bob - 03-15-2020 Hi Leyland! Now that I have the Cranky at the Docks set with Bulstrode I hope to do that. I didn't have much room on this layout so I'll probably wait to put him on the next one. I definitely like adding water features to my layouts. Are there other good water characters I should be on the lookout for? RE: Engineer Bob's Videos - MuddyPoppins - 03-15-2020 Captain, and Skiff for sure. RE: Engineer Bob's Videos - Super - 03-15-2020 Didn't know you were a wooden guy Bob. I like those Pine Trees in the picture. RE: Engineer Bob's Videos - Engineer Bob - 03-16-2020 When my kids were little we had a good collection of wooden trains. I collected a few specialty trains (especially B&O which my grandfather worked on) with the hopes of doing a complicated display someday, which never happened. I started selling them off last year. I still have a few left and happened to put a few on the HiT tracks out of curiosity and was amazed how well they worked. So it will be fun to add a little more variety. Of course now I'm a little sorry I sold that limited edition Santa Fe Warbonnet train I had. It would have looked nice going around the layout. The pine trees were in a box of old items that were given to me. They were a bright green with sparkles, I'm guessing old Christmas decorations, so I spray painted them darker and mounted them to a permanent base. They were originally for a wargame project but work great for the trains. |
