I actually like the set. Thinking about buying another one to expand my layout with 2 set so if I get another one I could look at both to see what the problem. I've posted video just turntable with no gears in turntable.

I am quite surprised as up to now I was thinking the problem was in the base's sprung gearing. Now that you have narrowed it down why not continue with trial through elimination. Install the long gear in the table and not any of the roller shafts and see if it works just as easily as in this latest video.

I thought to update on this. One of gears have small cracked on turntable had to look closely and saw it. Maybe 2 of it is as i hurt my eye looking at one of it too close before looking at other one. I ordered more of these new gears from ebay. It on way and hope it fixes and works.
