I have a trackmaster d10 too, He is in perfect condition it was the 2009 one with the one grey scared face troublesome truck.
The only problem is, That the TnA D10 Is alot more delicate and complex.
Ripley802 is the only person who can really help me with the TnA D10's motor.

Here you are, hopefully this helps.
After removing the 3 screws on the bottom of D10 to remove the shell there are two more to remove the engine assembly.
Once that is out you should have this:

You now need to remove the weights at the rear and side, and it should look like this:

There are 3 screws to remove:

Now you should have this, make note of the gears and how the go in:

You can now de-solder the motor and solder in the new one. In my expierence the ground and the resistor are not needed but use them if you can.

Other than the gears being right you have to get the activation mechinisim and sprin right, it should look like this:

Here is a shot of the circuit board. Note the red wire is the (+) connection and the lower bottom hole is for the (-) wire which is missing on this one.

This D10 was one missing the Splatter that I won in an auction this is not fully connected but works fine when connected to a battery.

Thanks, Also theres a issue with mine, Tape and super glue.
It was on there to help everything stay in one piece when I was mailed it.
I wouldn't want to rip any wires and total it.
Ok so I got someone else with me who is good with hobby stuff like models, glue small parts, They can use the pictures and repair it, Also is this a good motor to choose? Yeah that should be fine. It may drain the batteries more so than a cheaper one.

You know I think we will mail it to you, You have more experience with it than me and my other relative who does hobby model and glue stuff as well, We wouldn't want to total it.
I just feel safer letting you repair it, Also I'm not 100% sure it is the motor, I'm like 80% Sure, But the other 20% is not quite. Maybe you could figure it out 100% and repair it?
If its the circuit board, Let me know.
So when your ready, We will start getting it ready.
Also how long will it take to be fixed?
