I saw some auto crossings from the ハイウェイぜんじどうふみきりセット separated from the set in auctions. It is a pitiful sight but it generally proves that the ハイウェイぜんじどうふみきりセット is still less rare than the ハイウェイふみきりステションセット.

Any chance that we could make use of the English language around here!?!?

Would probably be quite helpful, then again, translations aren't always accurate...

@Muddy Yes, it would be quite helpful. I have been viewing this thread for some time but have had a bit of trouble because of this. However, I guess the reason they’re referring to all items in Japanese is because the products’ official names are in that language, and keeping them in Japanese would help when trying to find an item online.

I don't see the issue - we are collecting a Japanese toy, buying it from Japan, and I would much rather have the original product names written out to search for them, instead of trying to translate them from an already loose English translation back into Japanese and be way off. I also want to continue to learn from serious Japanese collectors who are taking time to write to us in mostly English, much less share their information with us at all

In any case, thanks to the wonders of the modern internet, you have a variety of option, try right-clicking in Google Chrome and select Translate to English

The translations are a little rough, as it tries to make them fit into the full English sentence, which mixes them up

On mobile Chrome, you can get an insolated translation by highlighting the text and selecting Translate. (You may also need the Google Translate app installed, I am not sure)

And in an admittedly longer way, you can just copy it into Google Translate in a new tab

Not sure I quite understand your message, but it reminded me of another cool way to translate, using a cell phone camera in the Google Translate app you can translate text on boxes, signs, pictures, anything really

There is a less reliable "live" view
[Image: Screenshot-20210529-141030.jpg]

And a more reliable "scan" mode, where you can highlight specific text on the page
[Image: Screenshot-20210529-141054.jpg]

Here it is working on a Plarail box, in both modes

Clicking on the arrow next to the translation in the blue box at the top allows you to see the whole highlighted text

Everyone, let’s remember that these are Japanese toys we’re talking about, after all!! I’d rather read and learn the original product names over some botched Google Translate mess. -MagicRail

If your viewing bpt on a laptop or pc, make sure you use chrome as there is a simple translate to English button at the top left of the search bar that I always use. Wouldn’t know how to do it on a phone.

Hey! So I am new to this forum but I am curious about something. Where do I look if I want to find the original 1992 Tomy Thomas trains? I've found a couple of them but they're on a Japanese bidding site. So is there another site to go snooping around for them on? Thanks in advance

RE: Rarest Plarail/Tomy Trains - Tharazero1 - 05-30-2021

The Japanese bidding site is the easiest way to get this item, unless you want to wait awhile and pay a fortune for one on eBay
