Perhaps this thread should probably be renamed to Wooden Railway 2021 prototypes as the amazon listing has it as wooden railway and the thomas wiki has it marked as Wooden Railway (2021) as the original has been gone for 4 years.

These new wood engines do not appeal to me. Something about them makes me not like them.

Tender Engines are fine (apart from the 2D faces and Gordon's wheel arches being too tall) but I prefer the og Thomas and Percy. The new Thomas is too chunky.

I do plan on getting Rebecca since we finally have a wooden version with correct proportions and will just swap the face out with either a Wood or Push Along face.

I'll probably convert Rebecca into a NSWGR C30 tank engine, dunno what to do with the van that comes with it.

In my opinion, they look good, especially the tender engines. It’s almost like Mattel is finally listening to us. But, for now, I won’t hype it up in case if it’ll be a disappointment.
