He has also successfully improvised a way to attach front/back cars to each other where there would normally be no coupling. It seems to involve a white plate attached to the underside:

Even though I am not into FaceBook I could see this fellows page in hopes that I could find some info on his customs but all I could find was pictures. Browsing through the hundreds of pics he has some amazing customs and looks to favor customizing the Plarail DD51's. It does look like they may have use non-plarail bodies and customizing the trucks and couplings to roll on the rails. Still would like to know if they have a web page showing more details of his terrific custom work.
