Think of it this way- you are in search of a rare train, and you ask for information regarding it. Among the information, somebody posts a link to a bulk lot with it for a very good price. Making this public to the 100(?)+ guest viewers on BPT gives an unfair disadvantage to the initial person seeking information, if this makes sense.
