perhaps one can use the 3D printer to print the missing track. Or simply buy one brand new but it will cost you an arm and a leg. Another possible solution is put a track over the existing tracks. it may create clearance issue.

Good idea, but at the moment I don't yet have a 3D printer, I keep thinking about it, but the tech still seems to be a bit too primitive (i.e. for geeks) than I'd like it. Not that I have a problem with 'geek' tech, just I don't have the time to mess around with it at the moment
