I am caught in the throe's of the Might As Well Syndrome.
I am expecting a package in the next couple days from Japan of miscellaneous stuff from auctions and I have 4 items that have just arrived at the Japamart Warehouse in Japan that although one item is large all the rest don't amount to much weight or size. So I am madly stuck trying to add items to make shipping to the States worthwhile. While typing this I have managed to add 2 more auction wins but they are also small light weight items......I am addicted to adding more...have to save on shipping....somebody help me.

This also effects shopping on Amazon where some new and/or common engines can be found at normal retail prices with free shipping. For example, there are a couple steam locos you want to add to your pike. Hey wait, there's that cool little tank engine, might as well get that too! But now there are those other two steam engines that look kinda cool, might as well add them to the cart and decide later which ones you actually plan to buy. But the price for five locomotives isn't too bad and there's free shipping, so might as well buy all of 'em, even though you were only shopping for two.
At least, that's a scenario I've heard about!
BTW, similar scenarios can occur when settle down with an adult beverage and a credit card close at hand! Or so I've heard!
Oh, forgot to mention that, in this theoretical scenario, you later remember that you didn't buy that C57 previously because it's a motorized tender "pusher" style engine!

very funny thread. with me, its finding a good deal. if the price is right.. whether i own 1 or 2... even if its not on my wish list. i am compelled to buy it. sometimes i can pass... but if the price is too low??? very hard!

FUNNY?...this is serious stuff affecting many and its spreading. Here I am trying out a new therapy technique with my Doctor to break me of this Syndrome......its not working.....but I am getting some color back in my cheeks...

Trouble is I think Super is a 'carrier' of this bug as I'm sure I wasn't anywhere near as bad as this before I found BPT...
