RE: Mister No's Plarail Pics & Vids - Off The Rails - 05-26-2020 Great photos Mr No! The set with the low sunlight is especially impressive. RE: Mister No's Plarail Pics & Vids - Mister No - 05-26-2020 Here are some pics of todays sunset in my plarail cities...: RE: Mister No's Plarail Pics & Vids - Super - 05-26-2020 Sunset in Enodenville...I like it RE: Mister No's Plarail Pics & Vids - Mister No - 05-28-2020 The Sweet Train video RE: Mister No's Plarail Pics & Vids - Off The Rails - 05-31-2020 I love those RMZ European style buildings! The light in those sunset photos is great. RE: Mister No's Plarail Pics & Vids - Mister No - 06-11-2020 You know the feeling when you really want something and when you got it - it's just perfect as you know it would be? It doesn't have to be anything revolutionary big, in fact in this case it's rather small addition to my layout. But I always knew it would look great if I could get it. And it really does. I'm talking about this 1998 J-06 double track tunnel. First, it's practical: I needed something to separate the level zero rails (my big Enoshima Island curve) from level 1 (my Fujisawa loop with the tourist information building) so that trains on level zero curve wouldn't touch the piers of the elevated loop. And this double track tunnel (gallery?) looks exquisite. It's built for possible use with a curved rail on top of it, but I don't need that... so I put my little people up there and they can enjoy the view on Enoshima Island with the surfing girl and the monk! IMHO it would be better if they made it with the (gray) rails already installed in it, like the straight underground track R-25 (it resembles this track from one side!) but this is also good. In fact I plan to add some R-25s to the nearby track that goes under the loop, because it would look great with this tunnel. It's actually the one and only double track plarail tunnel, as far as I know. There are many different straight or curved tunnels for single track, but only this one for double track. It was issued as single item and I saw it somewhere in a set. Almost all of my lines are double track lines and I could use a tunnel like that in several different locations, but I'm soooo happy to obtain this one at least! And - drrrrrrrrrrrrrums! - here it is: RE: Mister No's Plarail Pics & Vids - Super - 06-11-2020 Glad you have finally got yourself one of these as I know how much you wanted it. Looks great in the Layout too. I would say that this may be the only double track tunnel 'curve' but there is another double wide tunnel that is straight or maybe they could call it a pass through shed but double wide none the less. I may have mentioned it once before. Getting a picture of it will be hard as I took a quick look on Jauce and didn't see any listed now. There is a single wide that is the same and if I remember right the double wide has a center roof part that widens the single into a double....at least that is what my old mind is telling me. The single wide shows up more often in the auctions but still rarely and the double wide is seldom seen. Maybe one of our Plarail experts can help me with some info on it. RE: Mister No's Plarail Pics & Vids - Mister No - 06-12-2020 There was a double track straight tunnel (or pass through, or whatever)? I never heard of it... I am using one of my depots (Depot 2 Enoshima) as a tunnel - inner rails are for the traffic, outer rails are serving as a depot: The "aerial" photo: RE: Mister No's Plarail Pics & Vids - Super - 06-12-2020 If I find a picture I will Post it here. Found it... RE: Mister No's Plarail Pics & Vids - Mister No - 06-12-2020 Cool! Never seen it before! |
