Am I the only one who opens these packs and sticks them in the storage boxes? I can't imagine how I could store the minis if I were to keep them in original packages, I'd have to rent an apartment or storage facility with wall displays like toy stores have and then hang them on the walls. If I was living in a large house, I'd definitely dedicate a room to my various collections, but living in NYC, that's not an option. However, I never saw the launchers with bent corners or abused packages in stores.

Not in NJ but I was able to find 2017/1 in Target in New York City/Queens/Long Island stores.

all my packs get opened too, but i used to keep the mattel disney pixar cars MOC, and remember the hunt to find perfect cards well. although, some cars were so hard to find that sometimes the card issue was ignored.
i have seen bent cars cards come out of the original shipping boxes, so my guess is the people who pack them being fast and not taking care... they are "kids toys" after all, the kids dont care about the condition of the pack. i also recall hearing about the workers of the stores deliberately bending or tearing cards.

Hmm, similar thing happened with James launcher, few days later it showed up on Amazon.com. I guess we can wait a few days to see what happens.
I ordered the new 7 packs, those weren't previously listed here, there are few duplicates in those sets, what we need is the 9 pack DC packs.

Yeah I'm keeping my eyes open for those new DC 9 packs as well. The stores up here seem to be stocking up for Christmas, but no new stock. Walmarts are still only selling the 2015 blind bags and toys r us has 2016 wave 4 but no sign of 2017 product.

Not in NJ but I was able to find 2017/1 in Target in New York City/Queens/Long Island stores.

No! I know the Mini Rail co. even had a sale... but it's so expensive I can't bring myself to pull the trigger.

Hi there, there is a brand called "Power Trains", and the tracks are compatible with the minis. We have a set that we use time to time. I got it at Toys r Us in Canada, but ymmv. They're hard to find in Canada, I think, not sure about elsewhere. Cost about $20 for oval track set with ninja turtle power train.

Every store around here only has 2016/3 which is super annoying, it takes forever for us to get anything Thomas new, last week I was finally able to get the flying Scotsman and trophy Thomas, and the other train (forgot his name). We can't wait until the 2016/4 come out up here let alone 2017/1 lol.
As for tracks, my boys seem happy with the bat cave track which is alot of fun but the taller trains won't fit. It has some design issues bit still fun.

I am also in NY and check out the trading section, I'd be more than happy to pick up 2016/4 and 2017/1 blinds and ship them them out to you, if you don't mind the shipping costs. WM and TRUS here has both series, although they are running low because they seem to put those out for the holidays.
